The VIN is the identifier for cars. No two VIN's are identical. VIN stands for Vehicle Identification Number. It is a composed set of characters that tells you things like what brand it is, what type, what factory it was produced and what chassis-number it is.

Let's examine a VIN for a Volvo 480
