It Ran When Parked - A More positive update!

Long live the crumple zones, on other people's cars that is. Thankfully never had an accident in any of our 480s, but a rather expensive looking Honda wrote itself off on the back of our 940 estate. All lights shattered, bumper half on the car and half in the puddle of coolant, bonnet and both wings wrecked. The 940 was also written off due to bumper brackets not being available so I bought it back for £100 and put up with the slightly misaligned bumper until one turned up from a scrapyard. The guy's insurers rang me and persuaded me to accept £100 for the whiplash injury I told them I didn't have.........

I'd call that a win:win ? ? ?

So a bit of an update

After the immense generosity of the club, everything vital has now been collected and today the bodyshop picked it up. Jon my repair guy reckoned it could be done within a week, which I think is a bit optimistic, but hey if it works on TV...

I am hoping to get pictures over the coming days, shall keep you all posted

I think Paul Darrow's gripping performance of Avon in Blake's 7 has rubbed off on me quite a bit, as I have approached this with a sardonic sense of irony and humour, while remaining determined to see it come good.

Here are the latest pictures, taken on the 17th. Bear in mind this was about a day and a half after it was trailered in:




As you can see, although it wasn't bent they have pulled it straight on the jig, and have fabricated a new wing.

As I write the only thing holding it off for paint is some parts for the Light array on their way from Jeff.

But, I go to France next Thursday for an extended(ish) tour, so I don't know if it will be ready before I go away

Yep, great to see Ben. Could of so easily been declared a total loss and that's another to bite the dust.
