My car is running just fine(only the el.mileage isn't working(am hoping that this is it)), but...I just can't find where this thing goes...
Anyone?

...It has 3 wires in the connector (grey/white - grey/red - red/yellow). When I give contact before ignition it has el.impuls in it. Really need help from you guys...
...ou, and this is not doing it's purpose:

It is holding on just one almost cut-off wire...

I think it's for the idle regulating valve ... BTW, where is the idle valve on your engine?

that plug is for the idle regulator but why has your idle regulator been moved to the side of the air filter housing? look in the first pic.

that single brown wire is for idle settings. leave it un pluged, it's a servise purpose only.

For what it is worth I agree with Jim's thought that it is the oil pressure connection.Or do I mean the oil level sensor ? I think it's located next to the oil filter .
That single wire is for setting the engine idle .

If you disconnect it is one of the gauges not working?

The 3-wire connector is the one for the oil level/temperature sensor. It's down to the bottom right of the oil filter - with it disconnected the Info Centre should not be able to give the "OK" when you start or an oil temperature reading when running.....(may be saying "Check" to indicate a problem?).
Single wire as others say - leave it alone!

Ok, thanks a lot you guys. I bought the car in that condition, and I am still learning about the car and everything else.
Info Centre is not indicating any problem, oil lvl indicator is working fine and IC is showing oil temperature.
Ok, I will not touch single brown wire.
But 3-wire conector is still tormenting me, I see there is 2-3 opinions about what is it for...

im certain that is for the idle control valve. the valve should be on the end of the thick hose coming out of the front of the inlet manifold but its missing by the looks of it

. has someone put a dump valve on it? and how does the engine idle? ( high,low or rough)

Engine idle = low
About 500rpm (must say that it runs only on "liquid oil gas", and that fuel is 40% weaker than gasoline, so it does not give much power to the engine).
Tomorrow I am going to find out where the connector goes, there are 2 mechanics coming as backup to help me make my baby work as it should.

Small plug is for regulation of low idle. It's must be disconnected. I don't see low idle valve - Big plug is probably for this missing element

Just to report, low idle valve is discarded when system for "liquid oil gas" consumption was installed.
Need to find replacement valve...change fuel filter, fuel pump, clean the reservoir from residue...
...not a big problem...just expensive

Yes I am looking for the valve, but I am in Serbia (the land, far, far, away from Scotland), how can I get the part?
...I am a little short on money (the car took all of my money), and just the price of transferring it from you-to-me will be enormous...
I will have to find it in my country, or make some similarly fit in there (I have a very creative mechanic).

Tnx for asking.

small objects under 2 kg are relatively cheap to post to europe.
2kg = 18 euros
1kg = 9 euros
an idle control valve with packaging only weighs 500 grammes = 4 .5 euros and I can do a very good price for the valve as well.
you have a pm

I have LPG and idle valve too, so it is possible to have those two things together

Just to report that my mean-machine is fixed and is burning tires on roads across my land. After several months, I have invested over 500 € (for my standard it is a lot of money), and full service is done, turbo charger is restored to full working capacity. I still do not have the f... speedo... A lot of el.work is done (when I say A LOT, I really meen that), almost complete wiring of part from fuel pump-to-CEM -to-fuel injectors. It is starting fine now (cold/hot engine). More power is felt when running on gasoline.
That is for now, I am hoping to find working speedo in my country...still can't bye from Jim...damn Paypal
