The weekend of May 16-18, traditionally the weekend after the pentecost weekend, the Volvo 480 Club Europe will once again organise a nice weekend filled with touring, dining and relaxation. This year we will gather near Barchem, Netherlands.
Details of the meeting are being worked out and published when ready, but at least you know the date so you can make all necessary arrangements at work.
We hope to meet and greet you all there!

The meeting is official! We will organise the 2008 Maymeeting in Barchem (NL) and you are all again most welcome to join this event.
Arrival is possible on Friday-afternoon or Saturday-morning. On Saturday our tour will take place, followed by a buffet in the evening. On either Saturday after dinner, or Sunday-morning after some
klootschieten it is time to say goodbye again and travel back home. (or stay a bit more for a week of holiday if you please).
The registration-form is online (visible when you're logged in on the clubs website)
here
Hope to see you all again, or for the first time if you've never joined us before

I unlocked this thread, don't see why there should be no discussing here
Slowly more and more people are signing up. So if you plan to come, show it to the world by signing up! It'll be just as cosy/funny as other years I'm sure

I'm up for this, provided others from uk are going. I don't trust my car all that much...G/F even has the time booked off work just incase.

Right: The Dover Dunkirk ferry, between £14 and £28 depending on the dates/times you go.
I'm likely to be breaking the journey up by staying a day each side of the meet - don't fancy doing a Wigan to an almost Germany run in a day!

Is it really that cheap? £14-£28 all in? All the ferry costs??? This is unreal if so! I have paid more in bus fares!!
PS, what other fares will be involved? (Insurance/ tax/ etc etc...-never been abroad before

£14-£28 all in?
I should have mentioned those are each-way fares, still cheap mind you.
what other fares will be involved?
Erm, make sure your car is covered within the countries you are going to drive in, think most insurers include third-party only cover free within the EC.
I reckon hull-zeebugge will be dear, esp over a weekend, although the extra cost would be justified if you would save a similar amount in petrol.

You can also get pissed on the ferry...the bars open til 2am or later, and its an overnight.
It is dear though...sure.
