Get a load of this! period dealership photos 1988

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

My first 480 was sold by them although I bought it from a used car lot. It still had the Harrats stickers on the glass and reg plates.

Absolutely WOW!

What hi res for 1988.

I’ll study these in detail when I get home.

What is the 480 strap line in the showroom window? “Lose your heads?” :bla:

The 300 was always seen as the poor stable relation in certain Volvo communities but what is clear is the amount of 300’s in these pictures and indeed sold in the UK.

Just weird seeing A reg cars in a main dealer workshop!

That 240 GLT in blue with tan leather is simply stunning.

Thanks for posting.

I started to browse the (very expensive) pictures offered on this web site, followed the link of the photographer who made the pictures of the dealership, because obviously this guy was active in the late 1980s. Just being curious to life in the 1980s and 1990s and clicked on the very first picture with a lot of parked cars in it, just wondering which models I could recognize, maybe even a 480...
I've struck gold on the very first picture I've been looking at

Wow, I never thought I would find such a repositry, all I need now to make it perfect is seeing a period pic of our 1986 Audi quattro with my granddad at the wheel, oldest picture we have of the car is from 2004 with me as a toddler next to it...

Shall we make this a thread of how many 480s we can spot in this guys archive? I get the impression they were never thick on the ground, but they were 'around' unlike today

Heres one on regent street (it says):
