There was, but apparently unavailable now.

You seem to have to get a whole new caliper :(

Last year I changed seals in calipers in front. The set wasn't original Volvo as I remember it was made in Belgium or the Nedrlands. I'll check tommorow.

Anyone know how much a new caliper (front) is? I've had squeeking for ages as i drive along. The garage man says the caliper is slipping. He readjusteed it today and said he thinks it slips so i'll need to go back.

ummmm, how exactly did he "adjust" it?
And how does he suggest it "slips" exactly?

I'm a littel puzzled by that, as only the rear calipers have any adjustment on them.

Happy days! No more SQUEEK-SQUEEK-SQUEEK-SQUEEK-

In the end it turned out to be a combinaion of very very low pads, slightly warped front discs and the bolts that hold the pad on had worn/sheard off causing it to rock. He showed me the knackerd pads. I had a good look at the discs b4 hand and i can confirm the warp so got some peac of mind there. What about the prices though?

2x New Front Discs £50.94
1x Set of brake pads £35.47
Labour £14.80

Total £118.92
Plus he adjusted the exhaust after my attempt to fit new mid-section rubbers! No more banging!

I tired the brakes and got the shock of my life! My car previous to the 480 was a passat diesel with shit/no brakes so the 480 felt good. Now the brakes are really really good.

And the Speedo's working (shh say it quietly in case it hears and stops)

Happy 480 owner

Hi!

I have the feeling that spareparts are hard to get in EU??

In sweden we have

www.biltema.se

and

www.micro.se

Try reservdelar or bil to find the sortiment. Swedish prices (1 Sek = 9.5 EU)

If the prices are good myaby i can do your order and send it abroad.
