hi all
bit confused. day running bulb blew yesterday. picked up another from halfords today (part number 566) with the off set pins. put it in and only one of the filaments is working (dimmest of the 2 although bright one does work). i can only see one way of putting the bulb in properly. and bulb blown indicator is still on.
any ideas as i'm stumped

Crappy corroded connections onto the bulb. Guaruanteed.
You need to clean them off really well with sandpaper, so tehy shine, then try it.
Had that so many times!

cheers chris.
thought the 480 was good substitute for a woman - great looking, sleek, comfortable and always assured of a pleasurable ride. only down side is it requires constant attention and is probably more expensive to maintain than a woman.

Hi Darren,
Chris1roll is probably right but there are a couple of other suggestions.
Sorry to be so obvious but you can (at a push) put the bulb in the wrong way round.
Having had Volvo's over the years I came to accept that it was not worth buying anything other than a Volvo bulb. The cost difference to Halfords was virtually none existent so no saving there. It has been my experience a few years ago that the Halfords ones would not work properly on all Volvos. However I accept that things may well have changed.
Regards
Chris
