Hampshire area 480 get together - Sun 12th April 2026

Hi everyone

I thought it would be a good idea to hold a get together in the spring, a few weeks in advance of the international get together to mark the 40th anniversary of the launch of the 480 taking place in Cologne on the weekend of 23rd May 2026.

James, who owns 2 480s, has kindly agreed to have the forecourt of his car dealership used as the meeting place near Winchester at 2pm on Sunday 12th April.

The address is Avenue Cars, 4 Andover Road North, Winchester SO22 6NN. It's close to the A34 and M3.

We will then take a drive out to the Bishops Waltham area, stop for a drink/coffee and then drive back to Winchester via Twyford. The start time is 2pm and the event will take about 2.5 hours.

Do please spread the word! I will put something out via Facebook etc soon, but wanted to launch the event here.

Hope to see some of the 480 fans in April!

Would be nice to make it! Turns out my dissertation submission date is 8th May, which makes Cologne more doable, but this more difficult. Less far to travel tho so we will see!
