Hi All,
I am trying to rebuild a 480ES with B20F. Previous owner was planning to scrap it and unfortunately removed some parts before I bought it. So now I am trying to replace all the missing parts to get this bad boy back on the road
My most recent issue - the radiator fan was removed and I cannot find the new one anywhere. I am thinking about installing a replacement from a different engine for the time being. Did anyone try it? Perhaps can recommend a replacement (I have B20F, no air-con)
Regards,

May be able to assist - what does the connector plug like?
And where are you based?
And where are you based?

I am not sure about the plug, I think it may be missing. I have only 3 cables, which I assume connect to 2 speed fan. I am based in Poland.

Re: Radiator fan for B20F
As far as I know, all radiator fans are alike, the design of the car's front end never changed during its entire production run. Only the thermoswitch in the radiator differs depending on model year and engine, and the radiator itself comes in two sizes (a smaller one for non-turbo without a/c, and a larger one for everything else)

Re: Radiator fan for B20F
There is a 1994 break point in the parts catalogue. The fan shroud part number went from 3462576 to 3472710.
This explains why I was scratching my head when I picked up an early shroud... play spot the difference!
They both bolt in, but the motor orientation is different... the multiplug is the other side. This means the harness isn't really long enough so you re-route accordingly.
Why..? Who knows
I had to pick up a replacement as at the bottom of the shroud is a location tab - which like all things plastic on a 480 had snapped off. The photo shows one with tab and one without. If you buy used, make sure it has this tab!
