The other thing to do when testing posts, have a “incognito/in private” session of your browser open. It means your viewing the post as a normal user, so in that browser session, your not logged into your google account.

i think I'll reload the photo onto Google Photos straight into my 'shared CARS' folder, see if that helps
well that didn't work
the new photos are in the same 'shared' folder as the SS1 arm but the NEW ones don't show up, now get a big empty space with a 'no entry' sign on it
I'll just accept that adding photos is a bitty hit & miss.
if there was 'storage space' on server then could low 'low resolution' images?
another test, to see if it is the way I'm adding them to Google photos, or another wrinkle . . . .
