Parts for the venetian blind

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Parts for the venetian blind

Post by Gmac34 » Tue Mar 26, 2019 1:46 pm

Hello, I have been modelling a few 3d models of the most brittle components in the Venetian blind for a friend.
I was wondering if there is interest for such parts to either organize a small batch (if I can print them myself) or just make it available through Shapeways
The parts:

Presumably one could just add an ikea blind and pretty much have a working rear blind?

I don't think the blinds were very popular in the UK, probably not enough sun burning through the rear hatch to make it worth putting up with the rattling. We don't even see many on the French cars when we go to their meets.

The reason you don't see many is because all the abovementioned parts were broken. It gives a nice "1980s" touch to the car, though.

I would like to see how it works to adapt a cheap blind to the 480's rear window
(and then sell it to gullible people for hundreds of euros, muhahahahahahah  )

I ordered mine from Shapeways and I am very happy with them.

It would be great if the intermediate ladder "rungs", that hold each slat in place could also get made...

Great to hear that they are working well. I do not have a complete blind, unfortunately, but if you could send me the part, even if broken, I can probably make a 3d model of that as well.
