Does anyone have a rear closing panel (item 24) from a broken fog light that could send me? I changed my bulbs and mustn't have put one back on correctly as it is gone!
According to the parts catalogue there is a difference either between fog light sides or driving sides (LHD or RHD), I can't work out what they mean but in this case I need a right lamp for a RHD car so P/N: 3344280-7 and an 87 car. According to the parts catalogue there is no change in rear panel even when the fog light lens design changed from Fresnel to Fixed Focus

Re: WANTED: Fog light rear cover
Hi James
I do have a spare fog-light and you are welcome to that part - BUT I need to check which side it is I've got. If it is the RHS the part is yours. I'll come back to you asap.

Re: WANTED: Fog light rear cover
Hi again James
Sorry - Sod's Law applies and the spare light I have is the LH one You can see how that back piece is shaped, too - you definitely need the one from the correct side.
Good luck - and I hope the Saudi weather is better than it is here right now!

yes pair in loft, one has a wee sticky out bit on the back, black with a ruddy great big 'L'
also a white one without the sticky out bit with 'R' (but it has a funny fitting in back, seems to be 'sealed'
so either way you are in luck, unless super worried about matching colours? ? ??
send me contact details and I'll try and send between Christmas and New Year?

Re: WANTED: Fog light rear cover
Thank you David and Alan.
I'll PM you my details Alan. Not bothered about colour as long as it is for the right side front fog light. Fingers crossed the white and black plastics don't denote a change in shape also.

James
as far as I can see they are mirror images where they seal, they might have been originally designed fo rthe cable to pass through th ecover with a rubber seal?
I've replied to your PM

Re: WANTED: Fog light rear cover
James
just looked MORE carefully at the image in the 'parts book'
on these covers i have they are 'trapezoildal' wider at the top and the wire clip runs (I think) across the way, so maybe not the same
I never even thought they were different as min eis a 93 car and these old fog lights came off a wreak about 10 years ago, unknown vintage . . .. .
If David can comment on the item he has then we can be sure.
sorry for getting your hopes up
