Green GT in West Norwich

When you spot a 480 and wonder if it's someone from the forum: ask it here! One rule: do NOT post registration plates.

Green GT in West Norwich

Post by Swanny » Wed Nov 08, 2017 12:54 pm

I'd just left my local garage after a successful MOT and I'd been chatting to the mechanic about another 480 that visits his garage around once a year. I got home to put mine in my garage and lo and behold there was a green GT parked 100 yds from my house! Could it be the same one the guy at the MOT garage was talking about? Was anyone in here visiting New Costessey in Norwich yesterday evening (07/11)? If so it's a bit spooky.

I know! How rude! Next time I see him I'll let his tyres down :D Thought they'd be on the forum. There are obviously more out there than I realised.

I wondered if it might have been Zapcity with his newly acquired 480 (I know he is East Anglia) but I am sure he'd have piped up by now if it was him.

So it sounds as if yet a further green 480GT is lurking about, which is great news :D .

Although...I am getting concerned about exclusivity now ;) - green 480 GTs are fast becoming the most common variant about, it seems! I have said before that I can see a time coming when it is the bog standard 480 ES models that will be the rarities...

I hope it wasn't my 480!

The car is in storage for another couple of weeks, as I haven't finished the garage yet.

Maybe someone was taking it for a joyride, but as the brakes don't work, that would be brave!!

Seems like East Anglia is a 480 hotbed!
1994 480GT - arrived!!
XC60 and XC70 for the daily grind.
C70 Coupé Convertible for the sunny days. Should sell it but can't!

I think I'm the only 480 in Aylesbury....I'd love to find out if I am or not. I think my nearest is Oxford. I love being in the minority 8)

Hiya everyone,
I've not been on the forum for a couple of weeks - we are on 'holiday' in Spain, installing a new bathroom in our apartment.
If you saw the green GT in Vanguard Chase, that was us visiting my son and his wife to deliver Christmas presents before we left. As we have 4 480s I suppose Norfolk is indeed a 480 hotbed, but ours are all in store now. Please don't let our tyres down if you see us there again.....
We use a garage in Attleborough for our repairs, but they see us considerably more often than once a year!

Hi, this might have been me, I drive a green GT and spend quite a lot of time in Norwich. Sorry for not seeing this - not very active on the forums usually!
