Wanted: Genuine mats. Faded okay just not worn through

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Wanted: Genuine mats. Faded okay just not worn through

Post by jamescarruthers » Sun Jul 30, 2017 9:59 am

I am thinking of shampooing my original mats and dying them back to the correct colour. Does anyone have a drivers one that isn't work through?

I'd also take a passenger one as I've gotten mine oil stained. This is less important as the carpet shampooed might deal with this.

This is for a RHD British car.

James

Not sure if it helps at all, but I have a front passenger and rear genuine carpet mats in excellent condition. I don't use them because I do not have the driver's mat (in any condition) and I use the hard mats anyway, so I took them out of the GT when I got it and they have been carefully stored in the loft ever since.

Be happy to part with them in your direction if you wanted - let me know.

David that is very kind. However, on my set it is just the driver's one that is worn through. In this instance I will give it a miss. Thank you though!

Skip came with 3 but I have replaced them with black ones. Could this be of any use to you? They are far from pristine as they are probably from 1992.........

Will check today.
Ironically, they were stored in the bag the new ones came in and when I took them out I then realised that the new ones came with fixing clips.

Thanks to you, all I had to do was to replace the original clips with those new nifty ones. The matt on the driver's side is now firmly in place :)
