Oil Pressure & Voltmeter Guages Revisited

Post by proud480owner » Tue Nov 11, 2003 1:28 am

Hi

I gather from the previous posts on this subject that if I get a unit from a breakers yard I should be able to plug it into a 4 pin connector lurking beneath the radio. I've checked on my '92 ES and I've only got the 4 bare wires: yellow, brown, brown/blue & white/grey. None of the breakers yards I've contacted have still got the car to cut the connector block out of. Any idea what the Volvo part number might be for the 4 pin connector I need?

Cheers,

Andrew.

looks like the previous owner of your car took the guages with th em.
When I put the guages in my old 440, I used insulated spade connectors and crimped them onto the pins on the back of the guages. works just the same, you just have to work out which wire goes where.
