Hi hope someone can help

When I acquired my white celebration it only came with one key(small one)so cannot do things like locking glovebox etc,do I have to go to a Volvo dealer to get a copy of the other key or does anyone have any suggestions

Thanks Norm57

you should be able to get a key cut fairly easily ,I think it is a different groove? but as it is hissing down I can't go and look at the difference between the 'proper' key and the 'garage' key.

but to be honest is there a problem if you can't lock the glove-box, 30s with a screwdriver and you are in any way!!

PS
my 'garage' key is hidden in the car engine bay in case of emergencies and I am not telling how I can access the engine bay with doors closed and locked

If you can, I'd advise getting them cut to the code a opposed to copying the existing key. A copy of a worn key is not ideal.

If you are lucky, you will still have the code written in in handbook or on a little black tag (like a Ty-wrap). I wonder if you could ask Volvo for it?

Thanks James I still have the handbook and a lot of paperwork that came with the car but not the tag,so I will comb through it and see if I can find the key code which would be ideal
