@ daKyy. sorry to hear that man hope you find something else quickly.
I work for a large double glazing manufacturer and times are hard. theres been three lots of redundancies - last summer, the end of november and last week. the atmosphere is like a morgue. the first and maybe little of the second waves it was new people and deadwood to be honest but this time long serving and good hard workers got kicked.
for me personally ive felt sick to my stomache waiting to find out if it was me, and thinking how id manage if it was. ive still got a job at the moment for which im glad but who knows what the future holds.
enough of the depression now gotta think positive ive got beautiful wife and daughter and a rundown house and rusting car, lifes not so bad

Thanks for all condolences :]
These layoffs are temporary, so not too much to worry about. 90 days this year is the max. for one person. So I'm not out of job yet - moneywise its a different story though.

Sorry to hear about layoffs and money-reductions
I think there's something to be said for totalitarian rule in some cases. If they'd been able to keep this out of the "news", people would have kept spending as before and half the "credit crunch" wouldn't even exist. Then shoot the upper 5% of the f#@$@^in' bankers in the head, replace them with common sense people without bonus schemes (but fair pay, obviously) and we're all set. Ah well. We can dream, right?
