Bit the bullet and got the arches done!!

Everything that doesn't belong in the previous categories probably belongs here. Interiour (how are the seats mounted? how to remove the CEM?) and exteriour (how to replace the popup-lights shock absorbers or a door) are discussed here!

Hey people after the two years ive owned my 480 and looking at those nasty arches i got them redone - the bodyshop had to weild in ford escort arches as 440 and universal arches wouldn't fit check them out they were £450.

Looks like an awesome job!

Are the arches the exact size as they use to be, or do they sit out or anything anymore, in regards to using Escort arches?

Off topic, but any pictures of your car? Them wheels look suiting. ;)

Looks good :D , nice work.

But here is maybe an idea for other 480 drivers !

Just take the left front wing for the right arch, and the right one for the left side ;)

Take a look at your car, and you will see that it works allmost perfectly :D

Good idea Dan! Is it just me though, or are the front arches slighty 'wider' than the rear? (Width as in, the gap between bumper and side trim.)

Nice car kitt, them wheels work well with the shape of the 480. :D

the front arches are a bit wider in diameter, so it won't be a straight fit.

someone had already tried to do the arches before i got the car - quite a bad job i might add - lol - because of this i dont think they could use the front wings - he just had to cut too high!! - or he just didnt believe me when i told him that i they might fit

That is a very nice job. The paint is particuley good in the pictures.

I have tried the front to rear and it is trickier than it looks and mk3/4 escort arches are easier.
