Smells a bit like a harbour with the tide out if you ask me...
Looks considerably more like an expensive over-tuned kit car than a 'real' supercar. Barabus are listed as exhibitors at the British motorshow however so who knows what they're up to. The website is decidedly amateurish and lacks some pretty major details about design and function - they can't even manage to put anything on their 'about us' page!
If you do a google for images you should find pics of the engine bay - I've seen pics of 480s that look better finished than this.
Maybe it does produce over 1000 bhp, but that's no big thing in itself - the 0-60 and top speed figures sound much more theoretical than actual results of testing.
I won't be holding my breath...

I don't know how the hell they can afford to sell them a £360,000 when the Veyron is more expensive, being sold at a loss and has VW's deep pockets to fund it.

I should think (hope) it's cuz they didn't design the thing back to front like they did with the Veyron where they started: we want it to look like so, have it have 1k bph and do 0-62 under 3.5s and then started rummaging around for bits and pieces of VW stuff that could deliver.Brasco wrote:I don't know how the hell they can afford to sell them a £360,000 when the Veyron is more expensive, being sold at a loss and has VW's deep pockets to fund it.
