I'm guessing the MK1/1.5 ATE Abs system with the computer in the rear boot cubby hole. It should have the brake fluid reservoir by the air filter and the ability to push the brake pedal all the way down with engine on and off. As far as pads and discs, it should have solid discs and the front pads should be the later type. If you have a chassis number I could give you a link to the correct pads if that is what you are trying to find out about.
Is this what you are after? I cant think what else you would need to know about the braking system!

Definately ATE. You can double check by looking at the computer in the rear cubby hole - it will have an ATE sticker on it. The brake fluid resorvoir will also be moulded with an ATE sign. Enjoy the new brakes
