Shell optimax 99.9p

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

If it was just due to international crises at present then i could deal with that but at 70ish% tax it is taking the piss.

Trick is to find a petrol station whose pumps only have three digits, that way it can never go higher than 99.9 :hopping:
That's my car up there, see?

Not to long ago the Shell garage by me was having a new price board thing put in. The old one had only 3 spaces so the most they could go us to is 99.9 but this new had 4 spaces so they could go 101.9 etc. I said to the attendant are you getting ready for prices to rise above £1, she said no it was just a replacement. Yeah right whatever

I paid 93.9 for Texaco super on the A1 yesterday, but thats only because they screwed up the pricing and that was actually the price for ordinary unleaded. Still, they were happy to sell it me and said they'd change the price as soon as I'd gone. so that's one-up for me :)
