Whats the most you’ve paid for petrol

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Post by Big Brother » Sat Jul 30, 2005 8:42 pm

Today I paid 99p a litre for Optimax at a Telford service station :badmood: wasn’t to impressed but didn’t have enough petrol to get to the next garage

So what the most you have had to pay per litre

94.9 round here.Ive stopped using the high octane shit anyway cos u dont get more miles to the tank at all.I have tried the 95 vs 98 ron 5 times now and from my info centre reading 20 miles left, then running it down to the same,my car returns 447 miles to 1 tank, regardless of which fuel is in her.

It does go a bit slower though, but with the Rich mod I have plenty of power anyway-pompous sniff!!!!!!! :D

99p a litre!!!!

most i paid was 89.9, and i dont know if anyone else does this, but since its gone up, ive only been putting fivers/tenners in at a time, whereas before i used to fill it to the brim everytime.

its gone up here quite a bit, 86 is cheapest, but most are 87,88,89p

too bloody dear if you ask me. used to be 79.9 at asda a month ago...

When I had my XR4i it was not converted to run unleaded. So i used to run it with additives.

However I did find a local garage which sold leaded 101 octane, £110.9 per litre, expensive but the car went soooooooooo much better.

£20 worth of pertrol never went so quickly/sideways

Prices have just gone down quite a bit here - 89.9 for 95RON at Morrisons round the corner from me. Paid 95.9 for Optimax for my bike yesterday.

It's a real bummer though, cos my clutch has just gone pop a couple of days before the prices dropped!! :badmood:

I must say though, the old girl did well to make it back home from Anglesey with no clutch!! :D
