Aah,
boring Bora's
Have to say that the KLPD (Dutch trafficcops) has much more style with their S60's

Police in this county (traffic police) seem to have a totally bizarre array of vehicles across the different forces, everything from mid 80's Ford Escort vans, Peugot 306s, boras all the way up to big BMWs and even fully specced up Subaru Imprezas! - And that's just the _marked_ cars - christ knows what they have in the unmarked arsenal!
Perhaps this hints at the vast wealth the "cash for cameras" (1) scheme in this country has generated (2) - But it's all in the name of safety, not revenue collection, honest... yeah bollocks!
(1) we "lovingly" call this the SCAMera scheme on the uktrafficlaw lists
(2) - Cash for cameras is a government scheme where local authorities can do certain things with their cameras (paint them yellow to start with) in return for being able to keep a fairly hefty percentage of the revenue those cameras generate for more cameras/cars etc, rather than it all going straight to centra gov't

Perhaps we should invent a police scanning device... One that would spot a copper a mile away... So you always have enough time to decrease speed and act like a perfect gentleman

Hmm, I would historically say "eyes and radar/laser detector", but in the UK, the new way of trappi... erm upholding the law is to hide in completely unmarked vans, often hidden between bushes, up on bridges etc pointing CCTV type cameras at you, using the likes of a LTO 20/20 laser gun to get speed at over a mile away, then they video you when you are closer to get registration marks, drivers face etc - the result being the video "evidence" you have may well show you not speeding, because they took a reading seperately as silly distances - quite a dodgy practice if you ask me
