Board Style

Hey Coyote, i've noticed a little feature called board style in the user profiles.

Does this mean in the future we'll be able to customise how we view the board

I've seen this option also. There is only one option I can choose...

Perhaps we have to be admin to change it

I suspect the admin have to either create or download some "skins" before we get the option to choose. As Daniel said, he's concentrating on getting the residents settled and making sure the tech aspects work before doing the tarting up, and quite right too - I'm sure he'll give us some options on styles before long though

I had noticed it too, on www.phpbb.com I have seen a demo-page filled with different styles. I believe everyone can customize the skin when I upload some nice ones. Suggestions for which ones can be posted here

I would suggest the volvo blue (as the background of the Volvo logo) but in time this is too fierce for the eyes and boring, so if there were options this would be great.

maybe in more colour, or a picture as background (highway?) as any fancy designed volvobrochure

This blue would also remind to much of the dull designed old board

I like some progress and change once in so many years.

Be careful with volvo blue and things like that , 'cause VOLVO don't like that "we" use the color or the font...

I am not touching the Volvo color nor the Volvo font. Edwin Poorthuis, of whom I previously spoke, got Volvo lawyers on his back for using the Volvo brandname. In the end it all became quiet as he didn't use the font not the Volvo blue color.

The backgroundcolor on our page is not protected / used by Volvo, it's just a nice blue color

But I am thinking of using a Portal for the website, some sort of content management system like PHP Nuke. These portals can be combined with PHPBB making a single login enough to view all pages on the site and post messages in the forum. I will research this, but don't expect such quick changes as the swapping from EZBoard we used as a standard only 3 days ago
