Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

i once drove a car just like that..
Metallic brown...300D
it was veeeeerrrrry ssssslllllllllooooooowwwww...
but.. who cared ?
seats were better than the sofas at many peoples homes... This must be one of the late ones, since it has the square main lights
I liked the pneumatic way the doors locks opened, and the engine stopped.
It still sits in a shed, at my brothers farm... wayting for better times..
most of these worked very hard, as taxies here in the eighties and nineties....
a lot of them passed the incredible one milion kilometers... without much maintanance !
luck,
JPF

Did have a front spoiler until I started using Tesco's (more like sleeping hippos than sleeping policemen), and................
even got the original tape deck too (in the attic!).
Think 1/2 leather is the other option on it. Just wish it was a turbo manual....

Just the right colour and year too, but as HanSolo would say, I've got a bad feeling about this....
For a car that's only done '59k' has had a lot of prev owners(6), worn seats and engine mounts knackerd along with most of the electrics - that old gals been clocked/abused me finks.
Would prefer to pay a bit more for one that's been looked after better so the search continues.......
Stu.
** have just emailed seller usual questions - service history/how long owned/etc.

How do you know?
I'm amused by the things he claims to have added: Boost Guage, Front fog lights, spot lights (long range lights really)...
He must've spent a fortune adding all those standard parts in!!!

Just had reply from him (Steve the seller), he's a pretty straight up guy at least.
Said owned car since January, the speedo/mileometer wasn't working than even, and no service history, old mot's, receipts, NOTHING! Some rust bubbles starting to appear on rear arches.
Could have 200clicks on the clock for all you'd know.
Oh well, see someones jumped on the bidding at £599 - with 9 days to go, HELLO!!!
Stu.
ps - is the leather inserts in door cards standard? - only ever seen that on a Celebration???

Standard, but faux leather.
It will go, i have no doubt, and for more than 800 most likely.

Think i have that merc engine before, my mate has a G wagon 280 6 cylinder.
That thing drinks the fuel is well fast for a three tone beast, love it to bits. I thought it could never ever be done, but it has been perfoming powerslids all its life with ease. How many other 3Tone vehicles can claim to have done what the G wagon could do. God bless merc for the G wagon.
Go Mat the Merc rules, your now a member of the Mercedes Gang (taxi).

Reminds me of the other day when Lee and I were thrashing his twin pipes around, and moments later the front passenger wheel fell off!!!
Needless to say, my first task of the day was to learn about driveshaft replacement

He wasn’t driving it hard, it was pulling to the left quite a bit. He noticed the engine mount when he was reversing back into his drive.
