Honda 480 vs Volvo Aerodeck

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Honda 480 vs Volvo Aerodeck

Post by levensnevel » Sat Oct 25, 2003 3:55 am

I've never driven an Aerodeck because I never was interested in this Japanese clone of our pride and joy. But now I'am supposed to know that a Aerodeck isn't a 480 I wondered whether or not anyone on this messageboard has ever driven a 1986-1987 Honda Aerodeck back to back with his/her Cheese Wedge :?:
What actual differences did you notice.

I have seen a few on the net, not as great a following as the 480...which I suppose speaks for itself!!

havent seen one since "bassie and adriaan" (not to be translated)

honda's are good cars. I wish they could aford to buy volvo instead of ford (as there is no worst match) The tech in a honda is suberb, as it comes to progressiveness.

but its a japoneese, in ergonomics for instance they are better, and also worst. in general the seats are worst, but the gear change is better. so this is "lood om oud ijzer" (not able to translate too).

I don't feel a aero deck resembles a 480 at all. its just the basic line of hatchback and the popups

(ps: isn't this a waste gate topic ?)

sorry, well what the fuzz. I still get to be sweared at as "bassie" or "adriaan" as I am driving :cryhard:

what an insult, comparing my car to a janoneese grey mouse

(for the non dutch: bassie and adriaan were dutch kidds tv stars, bassie was a clown and adriaan, his friend, was an circus arcobat. they all lived silly adventures in a honda with popup lams, fitted with whiscars (!)

The Honda owners would no doubt retort "At least they made our car a lot longer" - there was a 2000 (W reg?) registered one on a advertising card in the supermarket last week - had all the toys aparently. 20k on the clock and wanted just under £7k for it...

Well Gaz,

think you refer to a later version of the Aerodeck.
The one I have in mind was produced between 1985 and 1989 and looked like this:

Found just 1 Aerodeck 4sale on the Dutch Autotrader website, a my '88. Askingprice EUR 1,250.00 which equals GBP 870.00 give or take a few pence.
