Stoney Stratford Classic meet

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Stoney Stratford Classic meet

Post by jifflemon » Sun Jun 03, 2018 7:19 pm

Happens twice a year, the first on new years day (for the brave!) and then roughly six months later. He's a couple of snaps from todays...

Representing us!

And some heritage

You can see some fairly obvious styling cues...

Wasn't allowed to buy this... Apparently I've got too many cars already

What a fantastic line up!!!! :hopping:

Some beautiful machinery on display!! Love the 480 and the P1800ES of course, though the Delta, the CSL, and the Initial D style AE86 are very, very cool indeed!!!

I'm always amazed at the machinery that turns up. There were, of course, many many more that I didn't get pictures of (not a huge fan of supercars) but there were ferrari's and aston martins littered around the place too.

That white Corolla is fantastic. Always wanted one of those when I started driving.

Soft spot for the Singer Chamois too. Reminds me of driving my mum's Hillman Imp as a kid!!

Just love people's passion for obscure and ordinary cars. I don't see supercars getting that much attention at shows. I think because it takes little effort to own one. Just walk into a dealer, slap down a huge wodge of cash and drive off.
1994 480GT - arrived!!
XC60 and XC70 for the daily grind.
C70 Coupé Convertible for the sunny days. Should sell it but can't!

They are something!! Always preferred the Trueno with the pop up headlights though!

Basically the 480 in a nutshell! :P

I agree, if you wanted to see a load you could go to London for free and see them everywhere! The amount of people that buy them yet lack the skills to handle them is worrying too...

Have you seen how much AE86's are worth now!! Same price bracket as RS Turbos. Makes a 480 look like a bargain.

London = Aventador heaven. Probably the worst place in the country to own one!!
As I get older, I have less and less desire to own a 200mph car that I can't use anywhere.
