Volvo 480's in Motorsport?
Been Googleing and searching but can find very little info or pics
Surely somebody must have competed in a 480 at some point?
Did anybody ever Rally one?

Re: Volvo 480's in Motorsport?
There was also a chap a year or so ago looking to do some saloon track racing with a modified 480.
Then there was another guy who RWD conversion, for fun, don't think there was a massive amount of information on that on this forum though....come to think of it that probably was not to race it so ignore me.

Re: Volvo 480's in Motorsport?
i compete in Rally myself with a Mk1 Golf GTI
I wouldnt dream of competing a 480 but just wondering out of interest if it's been done?
Even when they were brand new?

Re: Volvo 480's in Motorsport?
somewhere on the forum there is a link to a swedish blog? website? where a group of swedes took a 480 and fitted + raced a rear wheel drive 480 it was a light blue coloured car. The blog/diary had numerous photos . I am certain the text was in swedish but the pictures said everything.
The link is definitely on here somewhere. its about 2 years old.

Re: Volvo 480's in Motorsport?
the golf by a long way, it is competent at speed in a way that i just wouldnt trust a 480
The volvo is what it is, its probably not very fair to compare them.
