I've banned tiffany33, and firewalled their IP.

I need a list of all spam users so I can ban their usernames and firewall their registration IPs. Ideally, I need their posts leaving in place, so I can check their last posting IPs too so I can ban those also.

hskdis150 is a new one.

I've deleted all but one of their posts as they all have the same posting IP (China Telecom).

The one remaining post has been dropped into the staff lounge for you to take a look at.

Sorry but with the recent spate of spammers, is there no way of re-instating the old forum 10 post rule about posting links? as i seem to spend more time reporting spam than reading useful threads?

only reason i say this is i must of in the last 2 hours reported nearly 20 posts!

However i must congratulate the MODS on the brilliant job there doing in attempting to stop the attack!

Thanks guys. I deleted nearly 150 posts this morning and I think accidentally deleted the other spammers thread in general discussion

With the new version of the forum I'm assuming the 10 post rule is configurable without having modify the backend like much of the mods on the old version.

Still, keep reporting those posts, I usually notice all the spam when i see unfamiliar usernames as the last post made in a forum, once I've taken care of them I look at the reported posts and see there are a lot more, so keep reporting.

Vbb just to upset you, just as you wrote the post above ive hit the report button again! 150+ posts deleted in one morn, jesus! the situation is far worse than i thought. Let the war commence!

Mind you, just looked at the members list and page 80 - 82 are mainly all spammers! bar the odd 1 or 2. Thats 44 users per page! of wich i would say 40 are spammers and 4 genuine!

god i feel sorry for the mods, the attack this eve was just stupid! I think i am going to start a new thread for eveyone to show our mods how much we appreciate the hard work there putting in!

Edit :- Well it's now 1:39am according to the forum, and every section is now drasticaly infected. infact i would say the forum is now suffering from terminal gangrene. Ive reported nearly 100 posts and there still going for it and im going to bed. i cant be arsed anymore!

If PhP are listening (which I'm aware they will not be) one way to limit em could be that any new members first 5 posts have to be approved by admin before theyre displayed?
