Damn it had to happen neighbour ambles along road and asks if I need a licence from council for working on cars (she meant scrapping actually). Threatening to report me to council
Will need to scale back my stripping of 480 volvos.
Damn the way people talk you would think I was running a business
Apparently I am single handedly lowering the tone of the area. Not bad eh!
Will keep a low profile for about a week or so then heigh ho !
Mind you she has a point but when you consider that the car is totally covered up when I am not working on it and it was only on the road from last night and being picked up tomorrow afternoon it is a bit snobby.

Unreal.... What a nosey cow lol, tell her to stick it jim.. There is no law against you working on your own car in your own drive way...
Prob more pissed off that you have 4 volvo's parked on either side of the road and one in bits on the drive...
Either way i'd tell her to get stuffed - your house - your life...

the car is on the road but covered up ready for uplift tomorrow. Trouble is I have to be polite as is got no tax or mot an you only need one bloodyminded policeperson and then its a big problem.
Still wont stop me but will have to keep a low profile for the next few days then over night I am going to park one of my fully legal 480s on the road with a cover over it . Then see if they make a fool of themselves by thinking I am at it again.

You are running a risk by having it on the road with no MOT or tax. You don't even need a nosey traffic officer, just a police car with an ANPR thing on the dashboard, and you've got a big fine.
I guess it has no insurance either?

try convincing her its not a car.your doing it to help tsunami victims and you have swine flu so dont come too close.
