Good job on this. I have to say i'm a member in another board made with phpbb and it works fast even with many posts over 40.000. This kind of board even have an option to attach at your post pictures from your own PC so please try to find it it will help very much.

attaching such pictures to your post CAN be done, BUT... it would make the database grow so much that I do not really like the idea. But then again, maybe I can be pursuaded in a few weeks time

But great to hear PHPBB even handles a board with over 40.000 without problems

There must be a way in which you can automatically reduce the size of the avatar / picture one can use in their profile.
Tried to include a piccy of the red 480 TonCar cabrio but it 'came up' full sized. Thus distoring the layout of the thread.
Do not know how but the Volvo 850 forum has tackled that 'problem'

Hi Con,

the avatar is still just a bit too big (not by much).

First I want to say that I have just looked at the 850 club forum and that's a completely different forum.

I had limited avatar size here to 80 X 80 pixels I thought. Will find out later why it went wrong. Then being able to restore the 80 X 80 pixels rule.

Fine with me, I'll just have to keep an eye on people using too large avatars myself, I can only let EZBoard allow 80X80 dimensions if I choose to let everyone upload their avatar, because we don't have that much room here that won't happen
