Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Never really like them either but from listening to my dads records when I was younger, I enjoyed The Hollies, Roy Orbison, Manfred Mann, mamas and the papas, Dusty Springfield, and these are all on my Ipod now , but when I started buying my own music its was Electronic stuff I got into. New Order, Depeche mode, Pet shop boys, Kraftwerk, Human League, Jam and Spoon, Lemon Jelly, Moby, and loads more besides, my fave heavey metal was Metallica, i also liked ZZ top and Van Halen, and last but not least Queen.
Favourite Classical record is Ricahrd Strauss' Alpine Symphony.

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)

Very similar tastes here it seems :)

Few names from here too.

The Progidy - still like a lot of their songs the latest album seems a step back to the good ol' stuff. Wow... Is it really 15 years since I bought myself 'Music For The Jilted Generation'. The Prodigy - Their Law

Depeche Mode - A LOT of great songs, my first encounter was the track 'It's No Good'which still remains one of my favourites. (Personal Jesus and Enjoy the Silence are also great)

Moby - especially the Play album. Moby - Porchelain

And some other favourites: Air, Delerium, Boards of Canada, Chemical Brothers, Way Out West, Queen, Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, Enigma, Chicane, Coldplay (No I'm not GAY! :D Though I only like the older stuff), Fugees, Astrud Gilberto, R.E.M., Massive Attack, Orbital, Autechre, Everything But The Girl, Gorillaz, Queens Of The Stone Age, Audioslave, Jamiroquai, Ratatat, The Killers

And finnish bands, Poets Of The Fall - Carnival of Rust, this song was on my mind when fixing Volvo. :D
Maj Karma - Ukkonen

On the classical side, the weird composer Erik Satie (Though most of them were weird persons). I really like his piano works.

But about the Beatles. I've listened many of their songs and indeed have a couple of good songs that I like - altough none of them are very popular.

Also, Elvis has couple of great songs. 'Cant Help Falling In Love With You' was our wedding "Waltz" - Geez it still makes my eyes water when i hear it... :cryhard: Not because I sucked hard at dancing though ;)

Recently I've been listening to Volbeat
Sad Man's Tongue and Guitar Gansters and Cadillac Blood

Wow, this post took a long time to write and I surely missed some of my favourite songs and bands...

I didn't bother putting my music tastes up on here as I thought I would get flack for some reason, but The Prodigy IS the ONLY band I can actually say I LOVE every song of! They are my all time fave band, and I had the most amazing night the other week when I went to watch them. They are the only band I would actually pay to see! And it's pretty much all I listen to in my car, I have all albums saved onto a memory card and listen to a big Prodigy mix wherever I go! They rule! ;)

I will join the Beatles is over rated bandwagon. Never liked them, but then I generally dislike any 1960s music with a couple of exceptions.

I listen to all sorts. I like foreign metal/rock (the Germans get it very right), and also listen to a lot of hardstyle/nu-style from Holland.

But, as I said, if I like it, I listen to it.

I dislike indie rock, I hate pop-rock (Scouting for Girls need to be rounded up and shot, non-fatally of course), and I hate the way all modern female vocalists feel that they absolutely MUST have to sing through their nose, rather than actually have talent and use their vocal chords.

Hopefully for 2009 - 1.7 Turbo.
