I keep being seduced by RWD

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

I keep being seduced by RWD

Post by glasgowjim » Wed Apr 08, 2009 10:54 pm

Yes I find myself looking at 340 / 360s  . I cant help myself

Is it cureable or am I being stoopid :?

I keep thinking its big and I can toss bikes and everything into it and who cares its not a 480 :x

bolt a big kick ass towbar onto it. Use and abuse it like a big tractor!

You must not ignore these RWD pangs!!

The needs are incurable and once you have the RWD you become hooked! ;)

get 700 series it has a better balance than the 200, or a 300 with a turboengine. 300 has a perfect weight balance,

Plus there is something about the 700 series saloon (especially in black!) which looks so "pimp" but without having to get the windows tinted or the car lowered, it just looks so good as it is!!

Barge-like RWD cars will often understeer a lot before they oversteer. They will be lairy in wet conditions if you are going all-out, I imagine; I will have to wait until I'm on a track to find out.

Still havn't got it finished though, it's parked a fair way from me. Only custom part on there is the exhaust manifold, and it will need a custom downpipe too. Redblock turbo's are slightly easier to do, but I was attached to that car (a 340 rather than a 360)

Eh?? The diff is not a worry at all, unless someone has been at it with a MIG. I've never known one fail, the box/diff combo is fine as long as you don't spend all day spinning up one wheel. The prop on 340s on the other hand...

i belive a 360 with a b18ft engine is meant to be quite good fun, or so i am told any way, saying that a standard 340 isnt to bad as long as your happy to wait a cuple of centuarys to get any form of acceleration from them!
Toys:-
2001 Ford focus (not as much fun as my volvo was!)
94 440 turbo auto (Sent to the main dealer in the sky :cryhard: )
