SNOW!

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Well, being in Norway, the home of snow and misery I feel I have to share a few pics.

I had a fun 72 mile commute today, most of the roads I went on were treated so no snow on them. But I did see quite a bad accident, Vectra had jackknifed, bounced off the central reservation, flipped and ended up impaled on a road sign, not nice but they were ok, or so I heard on the radio

this little snow and you are complaining all ready? This is the stuff Volvo is made to drive in all day long. We got -17 C in here, with as much snow. Have driven in much worse. But well, you don't get that much snow every winter. All I have is a suggestion to you. Get a snow showel, but it your cars boot. A pair of nice gloves and a scarf. A bucket of fine gravel would also be good. Have a clean and dry sleeping bag also in your car. That is all you need in a blizzard. If you get stuck you can dig your car out, and if you can't do that you have a nice warm place (sleeping bag) to stay warm.
We had this couple of months back - 40cm of snow in one day + 30 m/s winds. It was so windy ans slippery that some trucks and buses where pushed to a ditch.

Had great fun in the snow today in the Range Rover - it really can go anywhere in anything I pointed it out, including fields with 4ft drifts in :D

Low range gearboxes for the win for going down steep hills with 4" snow on top of 1" ice :D
