My Skyline 1/4mile at York Raceway

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Worth clicking "watch in high quality" or its rubbish.

13.35 Sec @ 113mph. Feel i should be getting 12s with that terminal speed, but i obviously need launch practice! Suggests i'm somewhere near my 400bhp anyway.

Very impressive. Would be equally as impressive to see it pitched against your probably now pink 480! ;) Your launch didn't look too bad-and did i hear a tyre screech when you changed gear also?

Nice AE86 you were against too...

Cheers Dan.

I did video a white 440Turbo. He is on here in some capacity. I had a long talk with him about what turbos and clutches he could go to, but basically he was running stripped out, with rich mod and bleed valve for a little more boost.

That was running mid 15s. Not too bad.

AE86 - haha. Good knowledge but not quite. Thats a ukdm 300ZX, not a Trueno etc. Both the AE86 were never sold here.

Nice work! I would have thought you'd be in the 12's too, with that sort of power. What does it weigh? Feel sorry for the poor corsa beside you in the pic.

I ran a 13.5 @ 103mph in my last outing at Crail, i reckon if i learned to drive and took it to a proper strip (Crail runs uphill!) i'd be looking at low 13's. Thats with about 300bhp and about 1000kg. I really need to get it weighed and dyno'd :D
I think next year i'm going to aim for getting tracktime, rather than drag racing, after another 1.5 owner snapped a driveshaft at santa pod, it cant be that good for the mechanical bits longevity!

I do love Skylines. R34 spoiler on that one too?

Good spot JT...had i have followed your recommendations as to viewing size, i may have noticed it wasn't a AE...but i doubt i'd have guessed a 300 either! Good save!

Love your wheels JT, love the kit MrE...both your carbon footprints must be shit

Murf- Weight is about 1300kg....also had a 3/4 full tank, sub/amp and 8 beers in the car. lol.

The yellow corsa was calibra turbo engined. Easy win for me. There was a blue one though....behind me in the video that beat me. It was 2.0 turbo calibra lump, big turbo, stripped out, carbon seats and massive shot of NOS. Plstic windows and semi-slicks - the works. Was running mid 12s.

Ed:- Looking good, nice to see a photo. 400R kit huh? I've got type-m spats and skirts on mine since the vid, to go with my type m bumper/grille. Pretty subtle. Noted out matching 'skylineowners' stickers? - Its not as good a club as this one! ;)

Dan/Rachel:- Thanks!

The photo was from a local drag racing session.. only an eight of a mile. Still bloody good fun and as its an old air field its setup in a triangle shape. Two 120' bends to get back round to the strip, great for drifting! Yeah the kits ok, not a massive fan of the front bumper and its badly cracked. Looking at a proper GTR front bumper and similar better made side skirts and spats. Yeah i'm a member of the skyline club, like you say loads of imformation but i don't tend to post.

You'd need GTR wings if you bought a GTR bumper, as the gtr is about 4 inches wider at the front.

You can get a GTS-T replica...like with the 400R, but then you're back to fibreglass so you have to be careful to get a good quality one.

That top (of the 3) photo is just great.

Supra lumps handle masive power, its crazy, just a shame they handle like barges.

Thanks for the complements guys, well chuffed with the car. Thanks for the info John, didn't realize the bumper wouldn't fit. :( Gonna have to rethink that one then. Don't tell that to my mate, he's got a lovely red N/A one. Next project is to bolt an eaton M62 on it :D
