How much did you spend?

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

£120 and counting. Replacement battery, battery connector, earth loom and electrics sorting out under the bonnet to get intermittent IC non-intermittent. Still intermittent though, so...

I have a feeling I may have paid over the odds slightly, but I got it from a garage I know well who took my Mondeo in exchange for it, no cash changed hands. It 'cost' me £1100.

Paid £400 for my ES. Biggest bargain ever, she was really very good for that money!

Paid £1500 for my GT, well £1000, PX my ES...well, when i said i bought the GT, i meant my kindly bank manager bought it, and i give him a small donation of my wages every week

Either way...there is only one other car i would go out of my way getting a loan for, and its a Jaguar, so i think thats a very nice comparison to make for the 480 ;)

I paid £690 for my celeb in near enough mint condition spent about £300 on it though! But it's worth it, i rekon another £250 will get her perfect. And £1200 on insurance!!!!! UUUURRRRHHH But if i were to sell it as Esta said i rekon its worth a bit more cash for finding the service history in a pool of water in the back!!!!!

Too much...

Bought her for £1500-ish and spent over £1k on her. But that was stereo, springs, ECU, arches, interior etc etc.

That wasn't as bad as the amount i spent on the 440 mind... Easily done when you're into your cars!

Phew cars are cheap to buy and run/maintain in the UK. If I can manage to find a place to restore the 480 I'm looking at, my budget will probably say around 1k£ for the car (in bad condition), and another 2-3k£ for parts - maybe even more when new leather is needed on all seats, and a major paintjob...

Just for reference, since I haven't done it yet - how much is a 94 Pug 306 1.9 TD with around 400k km on the counter in the UK? Here it is around 3,5k£... Danish carprices are insane :kill:

My mate has a 1998 pug 306 D-turbo that had 108k (miles) on the clock when he bought it, with some s history and in good nick for £1,300. Good buy i thought with 12months ticket and 4 on the tax! Trust me no matter what car you have it's expensive! When alls done after insurance, tax, MOT, fuel, and maintenance it aint too rosy on the old wallet! :(

My Turbo Auto, £400 from a very nice lady owner. Not cost much since.

My 88 ES (57k on the clock) was £100. The previous owner pulled the front off and it cost £200 in welding. I'm in the process of reassembly. It starts fine and is in great shape generally.
