Written off means that the insurance company declared it as a total loss. In that case it would definately show on a HPI check.
Often people use that car just to describe a car with more than superficial damage, and thats probably the case here, as a car thats written off and repaired, is seldom repaired at the dealer!
Nice one man...shit hours, but otherwise sounds fun!! Anyway, talking volvo isn't really work is it?

Well, i suppose now i can ask them to dig out as much history for the car as they have-i will work for them so that should be a legitimate enough reason! I didn't think it would have been totally written off-wouldn't it have been 'Q' registered anyway? Still not a nice thought though, my poor little babyJohnTurbo wrote:Written off means that the insurance company declared it as a total loss. In that case it would definately show on a HPI check.

Wouldn't worry about the write off thing mate, I've bought plenty of my cars from salvage yards and put em back on the road (ok, I've then run em into the ground and scrapped em but...) as long as the works been done right theres no problem
And good luck with the new job mate, hope it works out for you
Happy birthday
J
