Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Vincent,

please remove the enormous avatar and signature piccies. Avatar size should be max 80 X 80 pixels (about) and definitely smaller than 243 kilobyte (somewhere around 10 or less kilobyte).

Same for the Signature, dimensions are OK, but 57 kilobyte is way too much.

I do like the pics myself, it's just too big...

Never really payed attention to it on the previous site, you're right. But now we have the new forum I want to keep a stricter eye on what we all do.

One of the things I am paying attention to is avatar and signature size. I have asked others to reduce avatar sizes and once I start allowing one to keep a large pic.... You get the idea.

So even though it looks cool, no, it cannot stay I am afraid. If you make one with two or three frames it might be acceptable.

Vins,

that's a very nice avatar and a familiar setting on the turbo gauge :hopping:

Daniël,

The only thing what's puzzling me is that 'lots' of members include the url of their (favorite) website in their signature whereas their 'www'' icon includes exactly the same url

No Vins, you weren't the first one, levensnevel was the first to get comment on the avatar here..

Why not keep it as an AVI, would make a new generation of Avatars, complete with SOUND!!

Hi Murf,

welcome to the board :)

BUT... please make the avatar smaller, keep a maximum of 80X80 pixels in mind.

Maybe it IS time to allow uploading avatars so I can exclude avatars bigger than 80X80 pixels automatically...
