My new ride, too!!

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Well, as Brasco and Jamo are doing it, heres the car i picked up on Sat!

Looks pretty stock, eh?
Its had a 2 litre turbo engine transplant with a hybrid turbo, electronic boost controller, uprated brakes etc etc
Should be putting out about 240BHP when its fully tuned up, quite a lot in a car that weighs less than 1100Kg!
I'm also in the process of fitting an air/water chargecooler system.
I'ts being run in at the moment at 10 psi, its'll boost up to 15 when its finished and the chargecooler is in. Even at 10 psi, its an animal and easily quicker than my 255BHP GT4!!
Oh, and the T-Bar roof is great, as well as the optional extra hairdryer slot built into the dash :)

Black wheels on a white car - good to see!

Always had an eye for the Mk1s, no desire to own one, but they are different. ;)

Cheers guys, i dropped it off for an MOT today, sitting at traffic lights 2 young guys in a Clio told me i had a cool car, and thats without knowing what engine was in it! The mechanics at the MOT place were pretty impressed with it too!
I'm thinking of taking it to Toyota for their free 40 point winter inspection, just to see what they tell me when they give me the car back!
"Errr, Mr Murphy it seems you have the wrong engine!"

Its a handfull though, even in slight dampness today it was lighting up the wheels in 3rd and i wasnt even pushing it, just driving about town!
Bit worried about when the snow comes now!

But as you seem to be very much into finding nice MR2's, if you see something cheapish and in good nick, gimme a shout

Well, its funny you should say that as ive been offered, as a straight swap for my celica, a jap import supercharger thats putting out 250BHP and has had over £20k spent on it in the last few years. Its absolutely mint!!
I reckon if i hadnt bought the Mk1 above i would have gone for this one, its sooo tempting!
Anyway, he wants around £3k for it, an absolute bargain!

It's only 162bhp/ton, but that is completely stock... It's fairly easy mod to get over 200bhp/ton but I don't want to lose traction or handling.... it's superbly balanced at the moment, and 0-60mph in 6.5sec is quick enough for me. (I must be getting old! )
