Lincoln '06 Pics (56k may be in for a wait!)

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Lincoln '06 Pics (56k may be in for a wait!)

Post by Dan the 480 Man » Sun Sep 17, 2006 5:50 pm

well, just home after a 3 hour drive from Lincoln. The car was 99% the whole time, bar one little problem, which i'll be popping over to the engine section about.

Had a really great time-was nice to see so many 480's together, and finally put faces to names. I just want to thank everyone for being so hospitable-i was quite nervous about meeting everyone, but you couldn't all have been nicer! Thanks also to the people who gave me their vote, it was really really really appreciated-cheers! :D

A big thankyou too to Wayne & Nikki-had a really good time, thanks for organising it. A big thanks to Stu for an excellent Pub quiz and for organising Wayne and Nikki the bubbly.

Had a good laugh-great bunch of guy's/gal's, and hopefully it won't be too long before we get to meet again!

Just thought i'd get some pictures up, there are more here.

:D

My mums regularly drives between Co.Mayo and N.Wales (via Dublin/Holyhead HSS of course!) in my old 480 Darren, so if you see an M reg ES in Flame Red give her a flash (the popups I mean!) as she said she's never seen another 480 in Ireland yet.

Great photo's guys, shame our camera batteries died, but thanks to pinching VBB's I'll post ours asa. Now that one of *Jim&Lee reminds me of certain smilies I've seen around here somewhere....... Waddya reckon?

  Image

Excellent! Except, I live right at the very top of Northern Ireland!

480s are rare enough here... I only know of two somewhat locally, and at that have only seen them once. There’s a guy on here from Enniskillen with a Turbo, that’s the only person I know off! Actually, anybody I mention to car to here, recognises them, but can only vaguely remember them!

Belfast - Liverpool crossings are pretty good value, and they regularly have deals on, so come into 2007 I'd like to take a trip over to a decent meet / run with you guys, before the Summer comes in and my much loved Mini goes back on the road!

Just been looking through the pics, in particular Jim's (Agwamoose).

Spot the orbs in the skittle alley!! and to think I was in there by myself for a while. Mal, the landlord, told us that the pub is haunted.

Was strange that, only happened to the ones taken in the skittle alley as well, all the others were fine....

Yeah, and did anyone notice sometimes when people were throwing the cannonballs they were getting mysteriously lifted upwards by some unseen force, hitting the rafters, then bouncing back, very spooky..... :help:

Stu.
