Mmmm not to sure about this it seem like a bit of a farse, but its the same technology used on new Astons!
But i guess the science is right you want a more restrictive exhaust at low revs for better idle, low torque and on a turbo car enough back pressure to keep the oil seal tight....
....and at high revs a less restrictive exhaust at high revs, more power and better fuel economy.

In the vid you only see the b-pipe where the valve goes and how it works.volviz wrote:WTF?? it sort of shortens exhaust?
When they film outside the car, they put back the rest of the b-pipe and muffler.
BTW, these kinds of systems already existed for motorbikes.
