its the best, worst, oldest, newest, fastest and slowest car i've ever owned. as it's the only car i've ever owned

(not counting a matching non-running 480 turbo that i had for spares)

1987 Volvo 740 GLE (reg E261 HRV) (Edd now has this one)

damm schmicheal went like a rocket. (CL meaning hewas posh one) with yep leky windows & mirrors, central locking and power steering! In dog knob red with pink bonnet and passenger wing! i miss him loads

And my second is my celeb! That i prefere alot more!

1977 citroen dyane..............unbreakable, and i tried. rust got it eventually
1982 fiat strada sporting.......electrics...it caught fire
1988 peugeot 205d..............arnold shark car....head went
1988 austin montego............cheapest car ever, went on and on..rust killed it
1993 nissan primera..............got run over by a landrover!
1992 volvo 480es..................i crashed it

1979 ford granada...............don't ask
1991 volvo 480 turbo...........ate its washer cap, killed its timing belt and bent the valves

2003 fiat seicento sporting...daughter has it....fun around town
1999 vauxhall vectra d.........only paid 1200 for it.....and did 22k in 8mths
2000 vauxhall vectra dti.......sold it to a mate.....daughter now upset

looking for another 480....much to mates annoyance...he's the mechanic!

Come on guys, where are all the pictures?

1. 1990 Rover Mini City E - 998cc carb.

2. 1994 Volvo 480 S - 1721cc inj.

3. 1979 Volvo 245 DL - 2127cc carb.

Still have all three, although the Mini is looking quite sorry for itself - The reason I got into Volvos was because I had to take it off the road, and the 480 was the only decent car I could get insurance on which I was willing to drive (that said, I was under alot of pressure to get something modern and more practical!). I haven't had a bad experiance with the 480, but I think I'm going to stick with classic looks, non-metallic paint and carburettor engines from now on!

1. car - '93 Pug 405 1.4 estate... Slow as hell....
2. car - '86 Pug 205 1.6 GTi - quite a bit faster, but should have ended up at the scrapyard som years before...
3. car - '94 Pug 306 1.9 D - slow as hell...
4. car - '94/95 Pug 306 1.9 TD - not that slow, and cheap to run

huhhh:
1st was
1984 Mazda 626 GC - got as a wreck with no interior or engine - result was 2.0 carb engine, with raised compression and bigger second barrel jet in the carbi. Sports suspention and man stick to the ground as good as 480 does.

2nd was
1987 Volvo 744 Turbo intercooler - Got this from my oncle. Was a Haas Tuning original car - Haas is a german Volvo dealer. But the car was in bad shape, all the spoilers where busted, the head on the engine was cracked and had sone valves burnt and so on. Took me some time to get it in shape. Was killed by 3 months old BMW 5. series.

I still miss her and get a tear in my eye when I see pics of her. PS. Was also featured in local car magazine for its badges (moose power stickers)

3rd now is
1994/1995 by VIN Volvo 480 turbo

Man I now love this car. Even gotten some hardcore oldschool volvo fans to like her. Even if they hate the 400 series, they make an exeption on this car
