Volvo K 6683 instrument cluster

Hi guys !

If anyone have cluster K6683 in working condotion to sell, please send me PM

I have very big problems with my odimeter and speedo.
I tryed everything but my speedo is working on the moments and show correct speed and in next moment it,s dead. If i drive my car on 3000rpm speedo starts to work. It,s working in nex approx 5-10 sec and when i deacrease rpm it stops to work. This thing have effect on my engine. My car have problems with ler gas when speedo isnt working.

If you have only km/h and odimeter section it will be ok.

The speedo isn't particularly complex so it's highly likely to be some combination of the above. Assuming that you're in mainland Europe then Brinkie may well be able to help further.

I tryed every step and i have no progression on this. My cluster has 4.85V on Km/h odo gauge and 1.5ohm on my speedo sensor which is constantly in closed circut on buzz test. I dont know where to search anymore. Thanks for the info!

It was faulty speed sensor. I changed it and everything works fine.

I think the ref nº is 3413744

Does anyone know where i can find one available?

I´m from Portugal and it has been very difficult to find one here.

Hey. Welcome. Usually it is the wire and/or connector that needs repair, rather than a new sensor.

Commiserations! They are really hard to get. I suspect you will have to get a second hand one. Good luck!

I'd try asking people who are breaking the whole car. I'm not on the Facebook but there are probably some cars being broken on the UK group. My wife is a member and I am occasionally allowed a look! There is a GT being broken I think.

I think someone on this forum put an aftermarket sensor in but can't remember how it worked out
