Volvo 480 Club Europe

Hi all!

I am alive and well, just incredibly busy, but still have my 480

So far without problems, but the speedo monster has now taken a plunge at bullying me! And I am therefor looking for a speed sensor for the 1992-1995 480 model, part number 3467846, which sits in the gearbox.



The reasons I am confident it is the sensor are:

• The mechanic said the resistance in the sensor is too high

• The mechanic put a pulse on the connector that normally connects to the sensor, and that pulse made the speedo work without problems

Help is much appreciated: if you have a speed sensor available, preferably from a 1993 / 1994 / 1995 model, please let me know!

I’m sure we’ve probably found the same things; one ‘sold out’ at CEC Brighton, perhaps worth a call just in case. The site looks rather old school, could have one knocking about? £10.
