I can't work out if he's saying his car that it doesn't fit is manual or the subframe is from a manual car. I'm sure someone on here can clear it up from appearance.
Either way, did someone want one not long ago or did I dream that?

Think it's for a 1.7 auto reading closely

I either missed that completely or he's just added it.
If I hadn't just bought a rabbit I would probably be interested in this.... Rabbit or subframe? One will have to be given up.

The Rabbit could live in the subframe...

Haha, I was considering it for spares too (I'm auto) as it's not far from me and looks ok.
Oh well. Surprise rabbit for Fox it is then.

I'm not sure that this is correct info, they are ONLY different at the rear as different ages/styles of rear mount.
the auto box mounting is REALLY different at front NS (UK version) as it has a 'kink' in front cross tube (from memory)
I modified an early subframe to fit EVA, a wee bit of metal glue was required, can post phots if needed.
the one in the advert is DEFFO an automatic, it has a heavier NS section,
the manual is a full length straight tube and 'almost symmetrical'

The photo at the top is a sub frame that came out of a 480 auto. The one underneath is now in my manual 2ltre.

Actually, thinking about it, I'm not sure the top one didnt come out of a 460 auto, which might explain the difference. Definitely for an auto mount though.

the front N/S corner of the subframe is the 'killer' that stops you fitting an auto subframe onto a manual.
In a manual the O/S & N/S are 'very similar' I think I have a photo of what I bought
here is old style after graft the engine mount from EVA onto it, apologies it's upside down but grabbed a photo just before installed it into EVA
I'm not sure if the lower suspension mounts are also different?
I have a feeling that there are subtle differences, but only a feeling.....
hope photos visible?

Found the key phot which shows three out of four permutations
note the kink in Auto mount at front edge...
from the back,
OLD style Manual
OLD style Auto
NEW style Manual
New style
REAR engine mount was deeper and so had a dropped section in the rear.
