Parts Required - Rear Suspension Beam
I am after some parts to get my 480 GT through an MOT and back on the road.
Most importantly, I need a new rear suspension beam and spring holders (spring mount has broken on mine).
Idle Air Control Valve - I can see some on ebay but thought I'd ask if anyone here has a good one I can buy.
There are other bits I need but should be able to acquire the rest easily enough. If not I will add to the list above.

Re: Parts Required - Rear Suspension Beam
Hi Phil
Sorry to hear about some MoT woes.
Regarding the rear beam; consider if it is wise replacing a 26 year old beam with another 26 year old beam. The spring seats are easily fabricated. There is a thread titled on here that covers rear beam overhaul - and it's also in my diary.
The spring seats on the beam also incorporate a plastic cap for the bump stop to hit. This is held on with a plastic peg, which, obviously, breaks 99% of the time. Again, the fabrication method avoids this plastic peg set-up.
Re. the other less important parts, Jeff is 'taking orders' via a sealed bidding process for a Celebration. This is one of the rescue cars that is considered too far gone.
Best Wishes and good luck!

Re: Parts Required - Rear Suspension Beam
Just to clarify, Jeff will breaking the Celebration so the sealed bids are for parts, not the whole car!

Re: Parts Required - Rear Suspension Beam
Now lookee here ! I've got a bid in on the carpet for Sven. Having had my first attempt at replacing his from Junk foiled when Al spilt paint on it and the second one
blown away when the chap breaking a celeb forgot he'd promised it to me, I shall be dead peeved if we dont get this one!
Anyway, I do believe some bits are earmarked for rescue cars so they are the priority and 312's days are numbered !!

Re: Parts Required - Rear Suspension Beam
Alan - the Rescue Group is kind of working on the premise that we do have the whole thing as a stash of spares...
It's only what we don't need for rescue projects (ok, most of it ) that's up for grabs...

Re: Parts Required - Rear Suspension Beam
Thanks David! I have replied to you.
Thanks Jay-Kay-Em, I will check that out. The repair and overhaul sounds like it will be the best way to go. More work involved but will last longer.Jay-Kay-Em wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:31 pmRegarding the rear beam; consider if it is wise replacing a 26 year old beam with another 26 year old beam. Beginning to think you secretly hanker after 312 Alan
Joking aside, I guess if someone really wanted to save her intact...they'd need to be brave though!!
