1989 ES 1.7 BREAKING FOR PARTS

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Just to let you all know I now have a deadline for my rust bucket to make her final journey to the scrap heap! Must be gone by end of January so please let me know of any more parts I may be able to salvage for you!

Also feel like it would be a waste to let her go on the original rims (as these are also in good shape!). Would anyone be interested in these? If so I'll try sort out a set of old steel ones to do a swap.

Cheers!
Alf

Are the wheels 6J or 5.5J?
Number is cast in to the wheel under the centre cap.

Mine are 5.5J.... What's the difference? Any more rare/money to be made? Haha!

The J number is just the width of the wheel in inches.

The early cars are 6J so I was after some spares, maybe. I’ll pass on the 5.5J thanks. Hopefully some owner of a 480S will buy them off you.

How early are we speaking, do we know a changeover date? Mine is Sept '88, just curious as to what it would have

I’ve only seen it on D- and E-reg cars. Just pop your centre cap off and you’ll see it written there.
