Just to let you all know I now have a deadline for my rust bucket to make her final journey to the scrap heap! Must be gone by end of January so please let me know of any more parts I may be able to salvage for you!
Also feel like it would be a waste to let her go on the original rims (as these are also in good shape!). Would anyone be interested in these? If so I'll try sort out a set of old steel ones to do a swap.
Cheers!
Alf

Are the wheels 6J or 5.5J?
Number is cast in to the wheel under the centre cap.

Mine are 5.5J.... What's the difference? Any more rare/money to be made? Haha!jamescarruthers wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 7:34 pmAre the wheels 6J or 5.5J?

The J number is just the width of the wheel in inches.
The early cars are 6J so I was after some spares, maybe. I’ll pass on the 5.5J thanks. Hopefully some owner of a 480S will buy them off you.

How early are we speaking, do we know a changeover date? Mine is Sept '88, just curious as to what it would havejamescarruthers wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 9:30 pmThe J number is just the width of the wheel in inches.

Re: 1989 ES 1.7 BREAKING FOR PARTS
I’ve only seen it on D- and E-reg cars. Just pop your centre cap off and you’ll see it written there.MisterH wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 9:53 pmHow early are we speaking, do we know a changeover date?
