Miscellaneous bits available

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Miscellaneous bits available

Post by WRDendy » Wed Oct 10, 2018 9:03 pm

I went to get some bits off this car the other day, the owner will be scrapping it next week but is happy to remove bits and post (within reason) or hold on to things for collection if there's anything people need. It's fairly stripped but it still has hoses, pumps, pop-ups, clutch/accelerator cables etc. Usual things like clusters front & rear and seats are gone. The engine (1.7NA) apparently runs well, and is already out of the car if someone wants it. If you can see it in the picture, it's available. Not sure of the exact year but it's a pre-facelift but with the later interior so I'd guess circa 1990. The car is located in greater London.

If anything looks useful then let me know and I'll send you the contact details for the owner. Act fast before it goes!

If I were you, I would get as many specific RHD parts as possible. Those are unique to UK cars, the rest can be found on the continent. Take the whole dash with you and the windscreen wiper mechanism for instance.

Unfortunately I'm not planning on returning for a second trip, I've forwarded the contact details on to you however.

I quite agree, unfortunately the dash is already spoken for and I have a collection of bits to cover the most critical faults already. The owner is keen that things don't go to waste though so it's worth anyone getting in touch if they see something useful to them.

There's a pop up lights washer set complete in that car. Washer liquid bottle with 3 pumps and the hoses at least can be seen.

If no one else wants it I'd like the black dash surround, it looks to be in very good shape, maybe the windscreen water jets (I just need one but would happily save two!) and although it might be a state, how is the rear bumper, mine has been 'fixed' so I could do with a replacement to start over, even if it is rusted :-)
