Been a busy few months with work.

Hope to get the car stripped and shell removed this month.

Looking to get the glass, axle, engine/gearbox and subframe off and whatever I can manage.

Not much left and a few parts have been put aside for folk but please ask, I have no plans for the engine so happy to pass that on, runs well.

Colin

crazy question

is the shell in fairly good condition, eg rear arches etc

if glass still in it ? could it be made mobile enough to be put onto a trailer?

wacky idea of finding a wrecked / rotten RHD and put the parts onto / into this shell??

assuming it has had an easier life than any cars usually living north of border . . . .

The shell is pretty good, glass still fitted.

Much better than mine, I have a plan to cut the rear panels off for my own car.

I was going to try and start cutting the shell up but if you are interested let me know. I am on holiday this week, you are welcome to come and look. Still a driving car despite parts being removed so no issue going on a trailer.

When I was removing the bumper I said to my friend how good it was and a shame to chop it.

Hi,

Are you in a position to sell the petrol pump yet?

Many thanks, Noel

sorry, not yet .

May need to put breaking back until after christmas.

Work commitments take priority just now and need vehicle rolling/droving.

I think there could be too many 'issues' if trying to get it 'off SORN'?

also I guess the loom will be crazily different, but still maybe worth thinking about, especially if it is on 'hold' until after Christmas ? ? ?

time to work on SWAMBO

When I was missing a handle, I used the lid from a shampoo bottle with some epoxy putty inside, makes it useable if that helps you.

Hi, what are the front wings and doors like in terms of corrosion? If you are in Aberdeen then I could collect them...

wings, I have used the drivers wing. passenger got a bit misshaped from a broken door strap. could be fixed.

Was consider keeping the doors myself but if you have a need happy to sell them, they are better than mine.

I am not in Aberdeen, I am near Paisley.

An update on breaking.

I still have the shell and a lot of parts. Engine etc.

There are a few parts promised out, I have lost track of some requests as it seems people have have got rid of there cars so don't neef the parts.

Have replied to some PM's but not had replies but there seems to be alert issues.

So if you are still waiting for me to come back to you about parts let me know, I am a busy chap but do try to reply asap.

May also be able to get leather seats. the previous owner held onto them and contacted me recently to say they were available if I wanted them.

With the weather warming up I am going to be chopping the shell up over the next month.

Still have a lot of good parts, doors, axle, engine, glass.

If you have asked me for parts please give me a nudge to remind me.

I will only be keeping the parts I need for myself as I dont have space.

I don't suppose you still have the driver's wing, and any door mirrors?

Looking to tart up my ride a bit before joining the convoy to the Derbyshire Dales in May :)
